St. Anthony-New Brighton School District, which serves the city of St. Anthony Village and a portion of New Brighton, is located six miles northeast of downtown Minneapolis. Our District serves over 1700 students at Wilshire Park Elementary School (grades K-5), St. Anthony Middle School (grades 6-8) and St. Anthony Village High School (grades 9-12).
Wilshire Park Elementary School, Grades K-5
Wilshire Park offers classroom instruction that is supported by teaching specialists in Art, Band, English Language Learners, Gifted/Talented, Media, Music, Physical Education, Science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Learning opportunities for Wilshire Park Elementary students are enhanced by the use of an art room, a computer lab, media center and a science lab. Extended learning opportunities outside the school day for K-5 students and their families include family nights, guest speakers, Super Saturday Sensations, K-Kids and Destination Imagination.
St. Anthony Middle School, Grades 6-8
St. Anthony Middle School (SAMS) is a school committed to providing students with authentic learning experiences in a caring environment. We strive to help students begin to grow their curiosities and creativity while strengthening their critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills. SAMS provides a strong academic background while still offering students a variety of elective courses. Enhanced learning opportunities, extracurricular activities and clubs are available to St. Anthony Middle School students and include athletics, speech, student council, academic teams and drama.
St. Anthony Village High School, Grades 9-12
St. Anthony Village High School will provide a demanding academic experience for students to prepare them for their future. Students in ninth grade use a seven-period daily schedule to accommodate the academic requirements while students in grades ten through twelve operate under a six period day. Tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade students utilize the later start time each morning (8:35 a.m.) for quiet study, meetings with individual teachers, breakfast or participation in clubs.
As the recipient of numerous recognitions from the State of Minnesota, Newsweek magazine and US News and World Report, St. Anthony Village High School students score very well on standardized assessments and college entrance exams. Extracurricular activities include athletics, music, drama, speech, Student Council and the National Honor Society.
St. Anthony Community Services
St. Anthony Community Services provides Early Childhood programs for children ages three- to five-years of age, a before- and after-school extended day program for youth in grades K-6, family and parent education programs, after-school youth programming and activities for adults and senior citizens.
Open Enrollment
Families who return open enrollment applications by January 15th of each year will receive a response from the District by February 15th.
